This Refund Policy explains when customers may cancel an IPTV-1 subscription, request technical assistance, receive a refund or receive another appropriate remedy.
This policy applies to consumer subscriptions purchased directly from: https://iptv-1.co.za/
IPTV-1 is operated by IPTV-1, referred to as “IPTV-1,” “we,” “us” or “our.”
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service: https://iptv-1.co.za/terms-of-service/
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
IPTV-1 supplies digital subscription services and related installation and technical support.
No physical product is shipped. Once an order is accepted, subscription credentials are delivered electronically using email, WhatsApp or another agreed method.
The subscription period begins on the confirmed activation date unless the order confirmation states otherwise.
IPTV-1 provides a voluntary seven-day money-back guarantee for consumer subscriptions purchased directly from us.
You may request cancellation and a full refund within seven days after activation if you are dissatisfied with the service.
To use this guarantee:
We may ask why you are cancelling to improve our service, but you are not required to accept troubleshooting before using this voluntary seven-day guarantee.
The approved refund covers the subscription amount received by IPTV-1. Independent bank, currency-conversion, blockchain network or third-party application fees that were not received by IPTV-1 may not be recoverable, subject to applicable law.
The voluntary guarantee above is separate from your statutory rights.
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, a consumer may cancel an electronic transaction for services without reason and without penalty within seven days after conclusion of the agreement.
This statutory cooling-off right may not apply where the service began with the consumer’s consent before the seven-day period expired.
If you request immediate activation, IPTV-1 should obtain your recorded consent using wording substantially similar to:
I request immediate activation before the statutory cooling-off period expires and understand that this may affect my statutory right to cancel without reason once performance begins, to the extent permitted by law.
Even where the statutory cooling-off right no longer applies, the separate IPTV-1 voluntary seven-day money-back guarantee described in Section 3 continues to apply according to its terms.
Immediate activation does not remove rights concerning an undelivered, defective or materially misrepresented service.
Contact our support team if the service does not work correctly.
Before deciding whether a technical remedy is required, we may:
Accepting troubleshooting is optional when requesting a refund under the voluntary seven-day guarantee. After that period, reasonable troubleshooting may be necessary to determine whether IPTV-1 is responsible for the reported failure.
Outside the voluntary seven-day guarantee, a refund or another remedy may be available where:
Depending on the nature, duration and seriousness of the failure, an appropriate remedy may include:
A service credit or extension will not replace a statutory refund right unless the customer agrees.
If IPTV-1 cannot supply the purchased subscription before activation, we will:
Where section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act applies, a consumer may cancel a fixed-term agreement by providing 20 business days’ notice in writing or another recorded form.
The customer remains responsible for amounts properly owed up to the effective cancellation date.
A reasonable cancellation charge may be applied where legally permitted, taking account of:
Any amount remaining the customer’s property after lawful deductions will be credited or refunded.
This section does not reduce the voluntary seven-day guarantee or another statutory cancellation right.
After the seven-day voluntary guarantee has expired, a refund will not ordinarily be provided solely because:
These exclusions do not apply where IPTV-1 provided materially incorrect compatibility information, misrepresented the service or otherwise breached a mandatory legal obligation.
Channel lists, programmes, movies and other content may change because of licensing, distribution, regional, technical or legal requirements.
A refund will not ordinarily be due for the removal or temporary interruption of an individual channel that was not specifically guaranteed in the written order confirmation.
A remedy may be available where:
IPTV-1 does not guarantee permanent availability of every listed third-party channel, programme or event.
IPTV-1 subscriptions and third-party IPTV player licences are separate products unless the order expressly states otherwise.
Fees paid directly to an application developer, app store, device manufacturer, payment provider or another third party must normally be claimed from that provider under its refund policy.
If IPTV-1 collected the third-party fee as part of the order, the order confirmation must identify whether that fee is refundable.
Where a trial or demonstration account is offered, customers should use it to check:
A trial does not remove the voluntary seven-day guarantee unless that limitation was clearly disclosed and accepted before payment.
Trial availability is not guaranteed, and repeated trials may be refused.
The voluntary money-back guarantee does not cover fraudulent or abusive activity, including:
Any decision to refuse a refund for suspected abuse must be supported by reasonable evidence and remains subject to mandatory consumer rights.

Include:
The seven-day request deadline is met when the customer sends the request, not when IPTV-1 completes its investigation.
Approved refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method where practical.
IPTV-1 will aim to initiate the refund within 3–10 business days after approval. The bank, card provider or payment processor may require additional time before the amount appears in the customer’s account.
Where legislation prescribes a maximum refund period, the legally required period applies.
Customers are responsible for supplying correct refund details. IPTV-1 may require reasonable identity or payment verification before sending funds to a different account.
If payment was made in a currency other than South African rand, the amount received may have been affected by exchange rates and provider fees.
The customer’s bank or payment provider may use a different exchange rate when processing the refund.
IPTV-1 is not responsible for exchange-rate differences or independent provider fees that it did not receive, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Contact IPTV-1 before initiating a chargeback so the issue can be investigated promptly.
This does not remove your right to approach your bank, card provider, payment processor or consumer authority.
Fraudulent chargebacks or payment reversals may result in suspension while the transaction is investigated.
If you disagree with a refund decision, send a written complaint to:
Include the original refund request, payment evidence and the resolution requested.
A South African consumer may also lodge a complaint concerning an alleged Consumer Protection Act contravention through the National Consumer Commission complaint process.
Using our internal process does not prevent a consumer from approaching a regulator, tribunal, ombud or court with jurisdiction.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, payment methods or service operations.
The revision date will appear at the top of the page.
A change will not retrospectively remove a refund or cancellation right that arose before the change.
